About Our Club
The Ottawa Inline Skating Club (OISC) is a non-profit orginization govered by a board of directors. Our club constitution may be viewed by paid members only. We maintain a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) list. OISC sells programing, events and club clothing online. The club has several sponsors. We also provide awards to our skaters each year. You may also learn more about our members online.
Club Services and Programming
Our club offers a range of training programs to suit recreational skaters and racers alike. In addition we offer weekend excursions to P'tit Train for ultra long distance training. We actively support the local community through the Sunday Bike Days program (with free walk in skate instruction), and the annual Turkey Roll where we raise funds for the lcoal food bank. In addition we offer our members a mileage club and training log, huge photo gallery and a dedicated discussion groups area with all the features of a modern discussion forum.
Events
Through the skating season the club offers social events, a full online calendar along with an upcomming events listing, club news letters, news digests, details of major races, race reports and commentary, and at the end of the season a general meeting and awards ceromony.
Skating & Ottawa
Ottawa is an excellent city for inline skaters. The city maintains well over 60Km of public paths which are open to walkers, bikers and skaters. Find out more about path conditions, local law and places to skate with the club.
