Details

  • All events start and finish in front of P7 on Rockcliffe Parkway, across from the Kaymar Drive pedestrian access point.
  • The course is an out-and-back set up, with about 5.7 km of new pavement available to us.
  • Starts for different races maybe slightly offset, to ensure we have the correct final distance for every event. The finish line is identical for all races!
  • Skaters only cross the Timing mats only to finish the race. Start time is gun time for allskaters.
  • Turnarounds will be 180 degree turns. Each event will have their turnarounds marked with cones and signage.Volunteers will remind you to slowdown
  • The turn around near Festival Village is on a very slight downward slant, so slow down.
  • Finishing Chute - will be on the right hand side of the course. There will be cones separating finishers and those still on course at the turnaround. The final sprint will be short, so be sure to position yourself early and follow the Race Marshall's directions.
  • We will have a water station at the turnaround at Festival Village.
  • After their race, participants can go through a recovery area to get drinks, fruit and bagels.

Direction

Direction of travel:

All races follow the regular traffic pattern. Please stay on your side of the road as returning skaters will be on the other side of the road.

The Finishing Chute wil be on the opposite side of the street - cones will be set up to separate finishers and those still on course. Follow race marshalls directions.
