Winter is just another season for skating ...
indoors on inline and outdoors on blades, of
course. With Ottawa's Winterlude in full swing and the
Rideau Canal finally open for skating, I thought it's
time to get you thinking about outdoor inline skating.
Read on for early season updates and some important
dates to mark in your
calendar. |

Exciting format changes for
Ottwa Inline Skating Festival If you were
there last year, you remember the amazingly smooth, 4
week old pavement. If you weren't you surely heard all
about it!
The 4th
edition of the Festival (August 31, 2008 - Labour Day
Sunday), will see a focus
on the Triple Crown (combined 10k, 21k
and 42k event - special prizes will be available to male
and female top finishers) and
the K2 21K Relay
for Heart and Stroke. We continue to have the
individual 5k, 10k, 21k and 42k events, of
course.
The Festival web site will be updated shortly with
online registration open within a few short days, for
the greatest early bird savings. Watch the site for
updates! |
